“Vast amounts of money and endless hours are being spent to alleviate the suffering brought on by the sins of our immoral society – abortion, pornography, drug and alcohol abuse, perversion, violence, corruption in the administration of justice, disobedience among children, teen suicide, gambling, obscenity, and neglect of the poor and elderly.
But the highest crime in the modern world is not being committed by the unsaved, but by the saved – believers who have ‘neglected so great a salvation’ that provides the one universal cure for all of societies ills – PRAYER
Prayer is what precipitates a nation-changing revival. Thank God that He is calling the church to pray! Surely He would not call His people to pray for the nation if our ills were incurable. All across this nation, more and more believers are repenting of their prayerlessness and lifting their voices to God – that’s why I believe we are in the beginning stages of revival.” – Fuchsia Pickett
Father, We bring the needs of our government before You. You said that you would do what we ask (1 John 5:14-15). We ask You to bless our nation through godly leaders. We thank you for all who are in authority, that Godliness and Righteousness prevail in our nation so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. I magnify the Name of Jesus and declare that He is Lord over this nation (Psalm 22:28). Father, We pray according to 1 Timothy 2:1-3
We forbid the powers of darkness, the forces of evil that would try to dominate and rule in our own nation. We rise up against that darkness. We rise up against those spirits and dispel the darkness. (Ephesians 6:12) In the Name of Jesus, we command the devil to take his hand OFF of the political scene of our nation. (Matthew 18:18-20) We pray for every politician, everyone that’s in office, that they’ll not be so concerned about politics, that they’ll not be so party conscious, but that they’ll be concerned about our nation as a whole—and above all, put God first. We bind the powers of darkness, the forces of evil, the demons of hell that would endeavor to dominate the financial scene of our nation.
Lord God, deliver our nation from unreasonable and wicked men.; guard and keep your people here from the evil one. (2 Thessalonians 3:1-3). May the upright live in our land and the blameless remain in it; May righteous men prevail in our nation. But may the wicked be cut off from our land and the treacherous be uprooted from it. (Proverbs 2:21-22)
We pray for the economy of our nation. We pray about the unemployed; The economy will improve; everyone that wants a job will find a job, and that we will be prosperous as a whole—as a nation—to continue to carry the Gospel around the world. We command the devil and all of his cohorts: Take your hand OFF of the financial scene of our nation. We come against the powers of darkness, the forces of evil that would endeavor to dominate the domestic scene of our nation. We command you, Satan, and all of your cohorts: Take your hand OFF the domestic scene of our nation. May there be peace. May there be tranquility. May there be understanding from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Canadian border. We sweep the air clean from demons—powers of evil that would hinder, that would dominate. In the Name of Jesus! We come against all forces that are wrong.
We pray, in the Name of the Lord Jesus (John 14:13-14), for our president, the vice president, all the Cabinet, and the chief justice and associate justices of the Supreme Court to receive the wisdom of God, to act in obedience to that wisdom (Proverbs 28:2) and for the power of God to flow in their lives.
We pray for the members of the Senate and the House of Representatives to find Your peace and direction, and for these men and women to act and lead according to Your Word. A house divided against itself cannot stand (Mark 3:25), therefore, I pray for them to be unified in righteousness for the sake of the nation. (Proverbs 11:14) We pray that You establish and exalt our nation thru righteous government. (Proverbs 14:34)
We pray for Your protection to cover all our law enforcement officers and the men and women of the military. We ask for godly counsel and wisdom for judges across this land. In the Name of Jesus
Pray for Revival
Father, You said that If Your people, which are called by Your name, shall humble ourselves, and pray, and seek Your face, and turn from their wicked ways; then You will hear from heaven, and will forgive our sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14-15) Lord of the harvest, Thrust forth laborers into the harvest of the souls of men (Matt 9:39). Look on the threats of those that oppose You, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness we may speak Your word, make known the mystery of the Gospel (Eph 6:19), and by stretching out Your hand to heal that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus. (Acts 4:29-30)
Send minsters empowered in the anointing of Elijah throughout our nation to turn the hearts of men from their sin to the Father (Mal 4:16), so that our sins may be wiped out, and times of refreshing – times of revival – may come from your presence Lord, that our land would be healed and that You Father may send Christ Jesus (Acts 3:19-20). May our nation be a place conducive to Your Gospel. May the Holy Word be proclaimed and glorified throughout our land swiftly unhindered by the rulers of this age. Even as the waters cover the sea, may our nation be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. (Hab 2:14) May Your will be done in our land, even as it is done in heaven. We cry out for Your ways and Your will for our nation. Grant Our nation repentance, revive us, and heal our land.
Pray in Spirit
Father, we pray with our understanding as best we know. We’re instructed to do so. We remember that Paul said that if I pray in an unknown tongue, MY spirit prays (1 Corinthians 14:14), MY spirit, by the Holy Spirit within me prays. So the great, mighty Spirit of God dwells in us. He is our Helper. He is our Counselor. He is our Advocate. He is our Intercessor. He is our Standby. He will help us. (John 14:16) We trust Him to help us to pray in this area and about our nation, and the leaders, and all that are in authority. Help us to pray as we ought to pray, and about things that we don’t even know to pray. And so we trust Him. He will give us utterance. (Romans 8:26) And we will pray and intercede and give thanks in the Spirit.
