A complied prayer paraphrased based upon Paul’s prayers for the Ephesians, Colossians, and Philippians (Eph 1:15-23, Eph 3:13-21, Phipn 1:9-11; Col 1:9-12). Pray this prayer for yourself, your family, and your church.

Thank You Father for (name) and for their faith in the Lord Jesus, and for their love for the saints.  I ask that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto them the spirit of wisdom, and insight to Know You: [Give them special, wisdom and supernatural Insight into your deep and intimate secrets and ways.

I ask that they might be filled with comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God, to understand and discern spiritual things. Enlighten their understanding so that they may know the destiny You have purposed and invited for them, the rich inheritance found in Your promises for all the saints., Your Holy written Word.

By your glorious riches and power, strengthened them. Reinforce their soul/mind with mighty power by the Holy Spirit who indwells them, and so that they would not only increase in the knowledge of You, Lord God; but also joyfully endure, and exercise patience in circumstance and longsuffering with people.

May Christ abide in them by faith in Your Word; so that by becoming rooted and grounded in the Love of God they would fully develop in love and Christ-like character. May they intimately know Your Love Father in all its dimensions.  May they experience more of Your love beyond what they have known -Your spacious, outstretched, extensive, intense, consoling, and exalted love, so that they overflow with your very presence, Father God.

By growing in knowledge discernment, moral perception, and keen insight,  enable them to approve and willfully embrace only things that are honorable and morally excellent; so that they may be sincere and without offense [ untainted, pure, unerring and blameless]; walking worthy of You Lord [not stumbling, nor causing others to stumble]. May they live well-pleasing to you Lord, in all of their days, and be found faithful in the day of Christian judgment.  Fill them with the fruits of righteousness. May they overflow with love, joy, peace, steadfast perseverance, kindness, moral goodness, faith, patience, and self-control (GAL 5:22-23) so that they may produce good works, by virtue of who they are in Jesus Christ. By this may Jesus be seen in them and so men would glory and hope in God.

May they know what is the immeasurable, unlimited, and surpassing] greatness of Your Power, that is working in us by obedient faith. Even the same mighty power, which You wrought in Christ when You raised Him from the dead. May they know and understand you delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of your dear Son; that you set us together with Him at Your own right hand in the heavenly places; Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come.  Teach them that you have put all things under Christ’s feet, setting Him as the head of the Church, even for our benefit.

I thank you, Father, you have made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: You are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, Unto You be all glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
